This is a better than average Italian restaurant by Japan standards, but despite having Italian staff it's still just average compared to what one would expect in most European countries these days. The table service was poor from a non-Japanese viewpoint. Westerners do not imagine they will only be served when they shout 'sumimasen' across a restaurant. Staff have to look up more. Of course, the waitress could speak neither English or Italian. No salt, pepper, or parmesan. No smile. No 'Are you enjoying your meal?' etc. This all has to improve before the Olympics I think.

Met with friends from Kyoto and Himeji for lunch here. They have a private area for groups, so it could be more private. Service is good, food is good. Set lunch from 1000yen onwards.
